GIFTS
Your presence at our Wedding is the greatest present of all and so gifts are not necessary! If however it is your wish to treat us to something, we would hugely appreciate a contribution to our Honeymoon, for which a link is listed below. There will be a box available for posting Wedding cards on the day.
DRESS CODE
We love any opportunity to dress up! The Wedding Party will be wearing black tie on the Wedding Day, so we invite our guests to attend in cocktail wear, with ladies in hats/fascinators and gents in ties and pocket squares. We'd like to observe tradition when it comes to attire, so we kindly ask that hats/fascinators are only removed when the Mother of the Groom removes hers.
BREAKFAST
Whilst the majority of our Wedding Weekend will be catered, we suggest that you bring breakfast and snacks for the duration of your stay (Hidden River is super rural and remote!). All of the Cabins have gorgeous self-catering facilities for you to cook as much or as little as you like. If you'd prefer, the Café serves breakfast available to purchase each day, from 9am-11.30am, although it can get a little busy when a Wedding is on.
LITTLE ONES
We adore your little ones, but would love for you to be present, let your hair down and really enjoy our special weekend with us. To that end, only our two nieces/flower girls, and any babies below 12 months, will attend the Wedding. (We can arrange cots for babies ahead of time if you are happy to bring your own cot linen. The venue also has high chairs.)
CABIN CHECK-IN
Check in for the accommodation is from 4pm on Friday 30th May, and check out time is 10.30am on Monday 2nd June 2025. Check in and out is done at the reception based within the Hidden River Café at the entrance to the estate.
FOOD & DRINK
All of the food and drink served on the Wedding Day is complimentary, and the food served at both the Welcome Drinks on the Friday & BBQ Party on the Sunday is also complimentary, but you will require breakfasts each day alongside drinks, should you wish.
SELF-CATERING
The accommodation has lovely self-catering facilities. We recommend bringing food for breakfast, snacks, soft drinks, and any extra alcohol that you would like. For a more comprehensive list, please visit:
AMENITIES
Most of the rooms/accommodation within the Cabins are en-suite but there are also a lot of Cabins with shared bathroom facilities. If we allocate you a shared bathroom, we will only put you with guests we know you would feel comfortable sharing a bathroom with. Each property’s kitchen has a fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave, dishwasher, oven, hob, toaster, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Each guest is provided with a bathrobe and bath towels for their stay.
DOGS
As you know, we're dog mad and Skittle will of course be there for the duration of the Wedding Weekend. All of the accommodation is dog-friendly, so please feel free to bring your four-legged friend/s should you wish, although please keep animals downstairs in the cabins and off the furniture.
SIZE OF ESTATE
It is about a 12-minute walk from Hidden River Café all the way through the site to the Wedding Barn. The furthest Cabin is about a 13-minute walk to the Barn.
WIFI
Due to its rural location, phone signal is patchy and many guests may not receive any whilst on-site. Most guests report being able to get signal on the top road leading into the site. There is also wi-fi coverage to all properties on site. You can find the wi-fi passwords in the information packs provided upon check in. If you are at the Wedding and need to make a phone call, there is a landline which guests can use if needed.
HIDDEN RIVER CAFÉ
Hidden River Café is a great place to grab and pay for any additional drinks and snacks over the weekend if you would like. It’s located at the entrance of the estate, serving breakfast from 9-11.30am and lunch each day.
UNPLUGGED CEREMONY
Our Ceremony will be unplugged although feel free to bring your phone with you, but please turn it off during the Ceremony itself. We’d love you to use your phone throughout the weekend though, and please tag us in your pictures so that we can continue reliving our Wedding Weekend for as long as possible afterwards! A reminder that all accommodation has hot tubs facilities, so please feel free to pack swimwear should you wish.
